The structure of the database follows the preliminary red list of slime moulds of Germany published by Schnittler et al. (1996). The Categories, Terms and Abbreviations are those used in this publication. Nomenclature and taxonomy of the taxa follows (Lado 2001) and Nomen.eumycetozoa.com.
The Data Project and Service
The data project "Annotated Checklist for the Myxomycota of Germany" was established by Prof. Dr. Martin Schnittler, Greifswald. It is thematically connected with the data project Literature on Myxomycota. Support was provided by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Wissenschaft (BMBF) within the frame of the umbrella project "Establishing the German GBIF Node for Mycology". Starting in 2005, the available information was digitized as a structured database. Data were keyboarded and accessed by Jens Tesmer, Greifswald. The development of SQL database and clients was done by Asif Rashid Lakehsar, Dieter Neubacher and Dr. Markus Weiss, München.Currently the data project "Annotated Checklist for the Myxomycota of Germany " is maintained and expanded by staff members of the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald and the Botanische Staatssammlung München as part of the German GBIF Node for Mycology. Notices of errors of any kind are much appreciated by the editorial staff at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald.
